Kabir Mokamel. Kabul, Afghanistan/Canberra, Australia. Stencil/Graffiti Artist.

Kabir Mokamel lived for many years in Canberra, Australia but four years ago decided to return to his birth country–Afghanistan. He is now considered one of Afghanistan’s top street artists.

Kabir paints his murals on barrier walls (blast walls are what they are commonly called) that are erected in front of buildings to protect them from bomb blasts.

The message written on the mural reads: “I’m watching you. Corruption is not hidden from God or the people’s eyes.” (taken from http://www.aljazeera.com/blogs/asia/2015/08/afghan-graffiti-artist-strives-beautify-kabul-150826090658859.html)

Kabir Mokamel works with a team when he works, so these images are not solely his work. Just sayin’.
